I am Jason Hoekema. A combat veteran and now a photojournalist in the deep South Texas region. I currently work full-time as a staff member at The Brownsville Herald. A Class 2A, daily publication serving the bilingual needs of the unique population along the Texas-Mexico border.

I have invested tens-of-thousands in personal gear to also provide freelance services to wire services, non-profit organizations and publications.

In addition to life as a photojournalist, I also serve the community by providing low-cost personal photography services for families in the area. My equipment allows me to travel and set up a full-service studio in the comfort of someone's home and also have the means to creatively light and capture portraits outdoors.

So, if I can be of assistance in meeting your photographic needs, personal or professional, please contact me by calling (254) 238-3433 or emailing me at jason.hoekema@gmail.com.
